Warm up and get out in the fresh air and play ham radio with us! Bring your new toys that Santa brought you and get on the air!

Annual Freeze Your Buns Off (FYBO) QRP contest sponsored by Arizona Scorpions club is coming up the first Saturday of February. Get some practice in for a fun event and work some cold weather stations all over North America!

About 0800 or so we’ll start heading to the park to setup our gear. Sylvan Lake Park – Picnic Area A west of Sanford, FL off SR 46 go south on Lake Markham Road about one mile to park entrance. Watch out for young children crossing the street at the soccer fields and playground!!! Directions to the Park

This weekend is Winter Field Day and some will be operating with your clubs. This is a good way to get some QSO’s and perhaps find a new state for your pursuit of Worked All States!

  • Bring your sandwich and snacks if you’d like
  • Bring along some water, coffee or cold drinks
  • Normally we operate until noon, but feel free to stay longer if you’re having fun!
  • QRP or max 15 watts requested to avoid rig damage due to proximity to other stations
  • All modes welcome
  • Please check which bands others are using to avoid conflicts!
  • Come learn from one another and enjoy the outdoors
  • Bring your license and rig, but we’ll share if you don’t have portable gear handy!
