New Year is over, time to get your gear out and enjoy some radio in the park where you can enjoy FL winter weather with us.

We will meet for breakfast at 0730 EST at the Cracker Barrel, Sanford, FL. This is show ‘n tell time so bring your latest gadget or gear to show off. We also major in discussing about everything you can think of too.

What’s your plans for Hamcation the following weekend? Maybe the QRP gang should try to connect for lunch?

About 0900 EST, we should be setting up at Sylvan Lake Park. We normally try to setup in Picnic Area A and Pavilion 2 down by the lake. If it is reserved, you’ll have to check the other picnic areas as we’ll probably be visible with our Amateur Radio license plates and antennas on our vehicles.

If you’re thinking about getting into QRP portable ops, this is the place to learn and get ideas. We all have developed different setups and you can see what’s out there. See you there or on the air…

Once again it is time to head to the Cracker Barrel in Sanford, FL for breakfast and show n tell at 0730 Saturday 25 Feb 2017. We’ll get all the world problems solved, talk about how we set a DX world record, and about 0900 we should be setting up in the park.

Playing portable QRP ham radio at its best in Sylvan Lake Park on SR 46 about 5 mi west of I-4. We are normally down by the lake in Picnic Area A unless someone has it reserved.

Pack your gear and join the fun. If you don’t have a rig, but do have a license we’re known to share so don’t be shy.

Novice Rig Roundup is going on all this week. Good time to pull out your old rig and make contacts.
